Ethiopia Alo Bensa Sidamo G1

Tasting Notes: Blueberry, Lychee, Peach, Berries, Floral, Winey

From the remote highlands of Alo Village in Bensa, Sidama—sitting at a breathtaking 2,340–2,480m—comes this standout Anaerobic Natural coffee from rising star Tamiru Tadesse.

Inspired by a friend who won the 2020 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence, Tamiru founded Alo Coffee and, just one year later, took 1st place in the 2021 COE, firmly putting his hometown on the specialty map. His dedication continues to uplift local smallholders, paying premium prices for cherries and providing agronomy training and community support.

This lot is processed with care using a 96-hour anaerobic fermentation in sealed barrels, followed by drying in very thin layers to let the natural juices drain, resulting in exceptional clarity and complexity.

Expect a cup that’s bright, juicy, and expressive, showcasing blueberry, lychee, peach, mixed berries, and floral tones with a winey finish—highlighting both the Sidama Bensa terroir and the enhanced depth brought by meticulous processing.
