Master the Art of Espresso TASTE (Balance & tactile are key) This class will guide you in achieving the perfect espresso through hands-on exercises and expert coaching. You’ll learn to dial in and find the ideal espresso shot for light, medium, or dark roasts. Whether you prefer old-school or new-school methods, we’ll explore various styles, including competition-level, Italian-style, Aussie, and Asian espresso, as well as dialing in for milk-based versus single-origin espresso. Unlock your palate and refine your flavor profiling with different doses, yields, and grind sizes. JIBBI’s Note: If you’re a barista struggling with TDS, extraction, or the formulas to calculate and use a refractometer, this class is for you! It will elevate your understanding of espresso dialing techniques in the café. Many baristas don’t know the right way to dial in espresso, whether to increase the dose or decrease it, or to adjust for a finer or coarser grind.
